Could be, I'm not sure. We have been taking a half share every other weekend since last summer.

While they may meet at other times and places, I pick up my shares at the North side of the intersection of Bissonett and Sewanee. Walk-ins are welcome, but you may not get anything if the orders haven't been picked up.

1 banana in a smoothie will completely cover the taste of a lot of spinach, chard or kale. Good way to get some raw greens with a lot of surface area for maximum nutrient extraction.

If you go to the FAQ section it explains how the Co-op works. Very informative. You can pay for a share or half a share the day before you pick up the food. You pick it up tuesday, thursday or saturday at locations listed in that section. Or it looks like they can also drop it off to you for a small fee. You can click "order a share" to order from them or shop.

This is really cool. I like how you don't have to buy shares for a whole year in advance (some co-ops are like this), you can choose to order a share whenever you want. I think I'll be ordering this week!

took jimboburnsy's tip and ordered half a box from the organic co-op.
Pros - half a box = big cardbox box filled with veggies and fruits
everything i like to eat - kale, squashes, lettuce, fruits, etc...
everything organic, and cheaper than whole foods

Cons -
some veggies were not fresh. Corn was old and mildewy, and peaches got crushed
some veggies not local, i.e. pineapple was from mexico, carrots from california

Thanks for the report. Sounds like I'm better off to keep going to this farmers market nearby. Its produce are fresh and I can purchase as much or as little as I can.

We do "All We Need" CSA (All We Need Farm | All We Need)

They are based in Needville, and Farmer Stacey only gives you food from her farm or her neighbors....

I will check out the Rawfully Organic Co-op- sounds nice!

Do you have any recs for good raw restaurants?

I had two ears with black dust also. This may have been a bad weekend for your first try, I've had one or two occasions of over-ripe fruit and some instances of wilty lettuce over time but the quality is usually excellent.

This operation's focus is on organic food at bulk prices, when she can get local at the right price point she does.

I'm wondering if she may be having to learn how to QC since this co-op has grown so much - once you get to a certain size one person can't check everything anymore.
