Houston did not get any rain this is no surprise to anybody if you live Huntsville or north you got a good amount of rain if live in Harris County & south you did not see jack. I guess we are not getting out of this drought for 6 months till fall winter

^^ Yep over the last 6 week it looked like it could have rained like 4 or 5 times but it has not what is the deal

For all of you who have been through it before, is it likely that we could be bone dry until the fall? I would think not but then I would never have thought we'd go this long in the spring time without rain.

Good possibility of no rain until fall unless we get a tropical source which could be a droughtbuster (and maybe worse). The houston region is strongly capped by a layer of warm, dry air that is flowing from the sw over Mexico. Unless something could force that cap to break, thunderstorms will be unable to form or will just hit a wall and dissipate. Nothing really around to break the cap until a strong front or a tropical development pushes it out of the way.

If you worry, then start digging... make a well . LOL...

Actually, I don't think it would come to that. I believe the city has water reserved and will be used when necessary. We may have water restrictions in the near future such as watering the lawn is resistred to certain days. In some areas, this has already been implemented.

It rained pretty heavily about a week and a half ago in the Uptown area where I live. I'm not too worried about it.
