Hi All,

Can anyone tell me if AT&T is available in the New Territory area of Sugar Land?

I have checked the AT&T website but they show no service to that particular area, but surrounding areas have the service.... Any suggestions/comments?

Thanks!

Yeah I guess so.... haha
I was asking becuase when I called AT&T the woman I spoke with thought it was strange that all the surrounding areas (including parts of Sugar Land) had service, so she was looking into it for me. I was hoping that someone that actually lives in the west part of NT could tell me if they have AT&T or if it is simply not available.
Thanks

I have Uverse and I hate it. It crashes regularly and is slow. I never thought I would miss Comcast...

I tried to swith a few months ago and had the same problem. I eventually spoke with a guy at AT&T, who told me they weren't allowed to offer service in windstream's territory. He said it was due to the legal issues with the breakup of Ma Bell, but it may have been a cop-out to get me to leave him alone.

I think the guy was being truthful. I don't think Sugar Land has ever been part of Ma Bell's system. There was a Sugar Land Telephone company until the early 90's when it was bought by Alltel. It was independent, as was the Fort Bend Telephone Company that operated around Needville (I think) until the 90's.

In New Territory you have two choices, Windstream and Comcast. AT&T does not offer services in New Territory. As far as suggestions, I have none, they both stink!

Yes, they do. We have tried both and neither is very good.
