We lived in The Woodlands for several years and were definitely "lower income," even though we were both well-educated. (Luck of the draw with jobs, blah!) I'm not going to lie-- it isn't exactly fun being on the lesser end of the spectrum there...especially if children are involved.

But, that being said, we often took advantage of the "rich people" amenities they built-- near the mall/the waterway....

There are *lower end* houses there, but they are often snatched up quickly. We bought our house in 2006 for $113k. But...people there? When they figure out which Village you live in? Not so nice.

whaaat woodlands is right in Montgomery county. plenty of lower to middle income people there. dont look right in the woodlands unless you are looking for an apartment. suburbs tend to only reflect one segment of the population. spread a little around the outside and itll be there.
