Where do you park if you work at MHHS at TMC and don't want to go broke paying for it?

Newbie here, thanks for your help!

You could park and take the light rail.

If you work dayshift and earlier second shifts, you'd have to park in assigned lots on the periphery of the Texas Medical Center and take a shuttle from there. You'd get a gate pass.

Night shifts and late evening workers can park in the garages, normally.

Look into riding METRO to the Medical Center.

The best deal had when I went to school and worked in the TMC was to take Smith to Winburn @ Main which is right on the light rail. I had the morning shift so I could park anywhere along Winburn for free and hop on the light rail. M.D. Anderson would give us a month pass for only 30$. My first job in the TMC gave us a free monthly pass.

I lived off of Memorial so I would take Memorial into downtown and would take Smith to Winburn. I sometimes took Fannin to streets around that area where there is free street parking and would walk a block or so to the rail. I preferred Winburn due to all of the trees that would shade my car plus it was right on the light rail.

Most of the hospitals in the TMC offer Light Rail monthly passes for a reasonable price if not free.

Good Luck

My wife works at the Herm... she works nights so she gets to park in the garage. She told me that most of the dayshift people she knows park at the Smith Lands lot (free) and ride the rail or a bus into TMC. For Mem-Herm employees, it is apparently free to ride either.
