Default Harris County has highest average wage in the state

Harris County has highest average wage per job in Texas in 2010, up from #3 in 2000.
Fort Bend was next highest in the Houston metro, and in the top 10 in Texas.

Ha, looks like in the last ten years Harris county passed Dallas county

wages increased in Harris by about 17K while those in Dallas only increased by 12k.
