I am currently a junior majoring in chemical engineering, and I want to move to Houston when I graduate; since I heard it's the best place for chemical engineers to work.

What are some of the best chemical engineering/oil companies in Houston. I already know about DuPont, DOW and Honeywell.

Is Tetra Tech any good?

There are hundreds of firms if not more. Not just in Houston, but also Angleton, Pasadena, Lake Jackson, Texas City, LaPorte, Baytown, Deer Park, Freeport, Channelview. I[m not sure many posters here are going to go into great detail about what's out there, its sort of too overwhelming to list. Go to the jobs boards and put in your criteria and I think Houston as the locale, I don't know if any of the other towns will have a section.

The oil supermajors also have mega-chemical divisions as well, so don't forget about Exxon/Mobile, BP, Shell, Chevron, Conocco/Phillips, etc.
