Hello everyone,

We are relocating to Texas, and would like recommendations on Apartments that are located within an excellent elementary school zone. We will eventually rent a home after a couple of months in the same area, however for the immediate relocation we need an apartment to allow time to search. Any and all recommendations are welcomed.

Thanks ahead of time for your honest replies.

There are no excellent elementary schools in Katy. Some are really good, some just better than others. How much rent can you afford?

I am looking for a 2-3 Bedroom 2 Bath apartment for under 1,600 a month. The ideal apartment would be reasonably priced that includes nice amenities and doesn't charge a large amount of additional fees. The apartments appear to be the same price as homes to rent in the area.

Lakes at Cinco Ranch has been added to the list for previewing. Thanks azinwood for the referral.

For apts, you may want to look at the newest apts in Katy - they are open, but still under construction, so you should be able to get a very good deal. And a plus would be fewer neighbors for a while (less noise). A neighbor said that they are very nice - and some units have attached garages. The apts are zoned to Holland Elem. Note, the apts have a Richmond address, but it is in Katy - I thought Richmond started on the south side of 1093. Apparently, the strip along the north side of 1093 gets a Richmond address.

Hi there, we're moving into an apartment soon at The Lakes at Cinco Ranch, as a previous poster mentioned it's zoned to a really good elementary school and is in a great location....walking distance to many amenities, they're popular apartments so we're really happy to have secured a 3 bed. Good luck with your search and move.

Hi Jade, I contacted The Lakes and it appears they are currently completely occupied for at least another month.

I would definitely look into the Palms at Cinco Ranch, the brand new ones. Zoned to Holland, one of the best elementary schools around, and a really nice area.

I stayed at the Lakes at Cinco and it was not bad.
