dont believe the hype. they are both vile. absolutely vile.

klein is run like a prison. no, really. it is. they lead by fear and intimidation. faculty bullies the students. oh yeah, klein, "...where discipline comes before eductaion". they arent here for your iterests (unless you really dont give a flying **** about your kids and you're just in it for the state sponsored babysitting), and they sure as hell arent here for your kids. they are here as an expression to serve the state's (corporate) vested interests, in whatever back room of gov. perry's country club they might have been decided in. your kids will be regularly exposed to indoctrination of all sorts, and they will be manipulated on a constant basis. the carrot of course is the so-called education, however you will soon understand that it is actually about a myriad of bull**** you had no intention of getting into, and that the math and science you wanted your kids to get good at would have happened far more efficiently and effectively, with far less drama and bull****, if simply done quietly at home over the internet or something.

if you decide on klein, then the least you can so is make damn sure your kids get in the honors classes. that will help. at least they'll be in with a somewhat better crowd. or you will be looking at a kid who will suffer at the hands of those animals in "gen pop", and will have issues that he/she carries with them for a loooong time as a result.

if you want to know why this is, the answer is simple - THIS IS SPRING.

The sad thing is, he's right. At the administrative level. They are mostly willfully ignorant Christian fundamentalist.
Every rotten thing I have ever heard about Klein Forest has come from this forum or folks who work for the district. Not parents or kids who attend the schools.

you appear to have a weird ax to grind. Klein ISD is no worse than any other school district in Houston from an administartion side and some of their schools are highly ranked.

they **** on the kids for sport. believe it.

its funny you mention auschwitz because the family klein is predicated on nazi fundamentalism. and yes, that would be both religious and political.

their schools are designed and run like prisons. that was not an exaggeration. their administrators all come from criminal justice backgrounds and they regard the students as inmates.

this whole "the great KISD schools..." nonsense is just a standard marketing ploy used for products that are knowingly and visciously flawed. i dont know any other ISD that has to market the way they do, and the ones that do are always dubious at best. i think their decades long trail tears might be finally catching up with them. you know how the old saying goes, "chickens come home to roost".

ranked by who, and for what agenda, and by what criteria?

"they're no worse" ... more bull**** standards and excuses i see ...

my only axe to grind is that klein isd is a gaggle of depraved psychopaths that, in a cruel twist of fate, have been given dominion over our kids ... only in texas ...

but whatever man ... i'm not here to tangle with you. you have your opinion and i'll have mine.

My kids have been in schools in Galveston, San Antonio, HISD, Spring, Richardson, Webster Groves, Kirkwood, each, several times. My son attended 4 high schools in 4 different towns. Spring had the most accessible and open administration years ago.
Klein ISD has the most passive aggressive administration I have ever encountered. They have a police force equal to many small towns and a newly constructed jail.
No one will understand their game until it happens to them. If you have a passive kids who follows instructions and minds well, the kid will be fine. That is all the can deal with. Get a kid who is a little different and all the school knows is off with their heads.
I used to could Google Klein ISD and come up with case after case of their tricks. it is hard to do now. Local schools are fine. I'm talking about the Central Office.

You mean kids with disciplinary issues don't do well at Klein? Who knew!? Don't send them to Catholic school by all means then. Maybe the lax standards of North Forest ISD are for them.

I've dealt with the Klein police. Some are good, some like to hassle the students, just like HPD. But run like Auschwitz, yeah, that takes hyperbole into a whole different realm.
