I cant stand the average "ricer", but some tuner cars are very impressive. Our cars get faster the longer we havent owned them. My Dad tried to act smug about my 1987 Buick T-Type, until he rode in it for the first time. His GTO wasn't as fast as he remembered it. News flash, the average pony car of today could smash the legendary big blocks of the 60's.

Ricers are just todays version of the kids who put a 4" tall chrome air cleaner on their 305 chevy and then tried to run with the big block guys.

As someone else mentioned this "style" has been around for quite some time. What I'm more interested in is the following two styles

1. Donk- Extremely large rims/wheels to the point it looks as though it's out of a cartoon. Besides looking absolutely hideous this can not be good for a cars performance.

2. Chariot Rims- Not sure what they're truly called but it's the rims with spikes coming out of the center that stick out like 6 inches. I'm literally afraid to go near some of these driving down the highway out of fear that they may puncture my tires.

As mentioned earlier. What's up with THAT?

Isn't this just a throwback from the 1940 or 50s??

Chariot rims are directly related to the number of black women who think they were cleopatra in a previous life

Man, I'd love for someone to introduce a bill outlawing fartcans for noise pollution reasons. Funny thing is, when you pull up beside one of those idiot ricers in a car that they know can eat their lunch, they get pretty quiet and look straight ahead.

You can thank NOPI and "The Fast and the Furious" for that creation.

LOL...good description. Those rims are "swangas". Came off 1983 and 1984 Cadiilacs. It's definitely a Houston thing. Just like popping trunk with reclining 5th wheels and candy paint.
