Hello: Could someone suggest a good home builder in Fall Creek/Summerwood or in the Spring/Cypress area? I have a plan and just want someone to build it. I do not want any modification to the plan, just a few upgrades (like wooden floors throughout, Granite throughout, 8 ft doors, dual staircases with wood instead of carpet) and quality construction. The house is 4600 Sq Ft. What would an average cost to build it (without the cost of land). I read some reviews from 2008 and average price per Sq ft for a custom built home was $120-$140. Since the current housing market is really bad, are builders willing to build for less than $100/Sq Ft? I am looking at westport designs (dual curved staircase around the living room). Thanks.

No, not for custom. You may want to see the different floor plans to see which come closest - or be prepared to pay top dollar.High end is doing very well here.

I am not familiar with Fall Creek or Summerwood setup but often with MPCs like that there are only certain custom builders that the developer works with that can build on the lots there so maybe check the websites. The custom homes in areas like that tend to be "semi-custom" meaning you can't use your own plans you have to pick from their list, although their list is typically much more extensive then a typical mass production builder and they may have something that fits what you want.
