Then please, be distracted no more and leave threads about animal cruelty to people who have a heart.

what? just go to the pound and animal shelters and cry bloody rivers there. there are a million cases of animal abuse out there that is not being reported by the media because they have enough going on in THEIR city/town. It looks like this journalist is not getting anything newsworthy. Tomorrow he'll cover some mama pig attacked by bees, then some animal lovers will be horified

texas is behind the times not linking SPCA investigations with CPS. trust me, it's disgusting. i haven't been to a home that was abusing their animals and not doing the same or worse to their children.

if a person cannot feel for the suffering of an animal, especially a pet (many people still don't believe non-pet animals can feel), they are truly missing something inside themselves

I grew up with 14 dogs, 9 cats, 8 mice, 2 birds all at the same time, split among 8 kids. so I'm good in that department

maybe one day you'll find out or will have not much choice but to eat someone's pet. could be a duck, a dog, a pig, a cow. see if you care
then again i've seen pet lovers who'd rather eat someones baby to survive.
there is a hell for people who live thru their pets

just because i defend an animal doesnt mean i'd sacrifice a person. thats messed up thinking to draw that conclusion. and in what kind of world would i end up eating someone's pet? if the apocalypse comes - guess what we will ALL be dead. i at least dont plan on suffering a la The Road

for growing up with so many pets you didn't show much concern for one that was brutally tortured...
