They totally screwed up the design. It used to look cool and unique, like a walkable urban center. Now its just like some stores facing a giant parking lot. This was really a bad idea. What were the developers thinking about? It looks like a regular strip center now.

Ummm... it was nothing but a crazy high crime hangout. Much too dangerous and really bringing down the neighborhood. Total crap-hole other than the theater and dave n busters. Not to mention NOTHING could stay in business in there. Something needed to be done. Anything. I think they should have just flattened it and started over in true Houston fashion.

And most likely if they had flattened it; it would have came back with the same design as what they're going for now.

haven't been there in ages - didn't even know it had been remodeled. My workplace had an event at the Dave & Busters a couple of weeks ago but just parked outside the front door and left so I didn't even look around the center. What all is in there now - just movies and D&B?

Right, the theater and dave n busters were the only things in there that seemed to do ok. And that red robin restaurant seemed to stay afloat. But most of the little stores had a tough time.
The only thing i ever go there for is the theater.

No one ever wanted to go there because of the "thug" aspect it attracted. No "redesign" will change that fact...and really no one goes to the movies anymore except teens at MCM or SMG. Wait 4 months and you can own it for 15 bucks, cheaper than going with a family of even THREE.

Just plow it and put 500k "Garden Homes.." that's the only thing that will change it.

We go all the time, kids go to school next door. Lots of birthday parties at Pump It Up, lots of after-school meals and movies. I hear about the thugs but I've never seen them, granted we are usually there during daylight hours.

Cafe Adobe is still there, by the way.
