Twice on probation ( Yes, I was wrong. "Only" probation, not suspension), graduation rate among lowest in nation, open admissions until 2008, spending scandal of 2006, several probes, had to get government involved because they didn't have a president or decision-making body for a very long time, almost under Conservatorship of Texas because nothing worked, substandard admissions for the law school ( well, and others ), bar passage rate also among lowest in nation etc. etc. Wondering they were never on probation for academics. But maybe they were, I don't know about that.

Nobody is exaggerating by saying TSU has had some major problems..or still has...as he wants to believe.

Like I said; its reputation steams from administration more so than the education offered. This is what happens when you put us black folks in charge of something.

You confuse the words reputation and facts. The fact is that TSU is/has been struggling. One of the lowest graduation rates in the country, open admissions, high fail/drop out rate etc. isn't "administration". It's academics. The OP offered 3 choices. And TSU is not high on the list..

Which all comes from open admissions; when you have that. It attracts many people who aren't serious about their education. Thats all changed now.

Actually as far as TSU; its reputation is exaggerated though. It's more due to how finance is handle at the school and the the reputation of the surrounding area moreso than the education offered. I'd go with UH followed by UH Clear Lake with TSU last. You will find some of the best professors at TSU though; here you're not a number; you're actually seen as a person and the professor really care about you. That's my biggest positive about the school.

Btw, the school never lost accreditation; it was just on probation due to financial mismanagement; not academics.

Do you know about the business program at TSU (if you know any)? Im having a hard time trying to find information about it because the website sucks. One of my professors said they have a "ok" program for business. Is that true?
