Well we all know the Houston Press is really a local tabloid but they have changed the cover appearance where it now looks like a tabloid -- no faking legitimacy there. Before it looked like a magazine that was trying to be alternative news for Houston but I guess they've decided to just go with it and let it be what it is and what people expect it to be. But if you got the Press, did you read the story on the Brown Hand Center doc? wow..........

By "tabloid" you mean the type of journalism and not the paper format yourself. But tabloid journalism usually refers to celebrity gossip, inconsequential trivia (junk food news), and crime stories...

Yes - I mean the type of journalism - I took one look at that cover and thought wow a local tabloid. Now people have always taken their articles with a skeptical eye but the covers have gone more and more tabloid looking in recent issues.

Are there particular articles which were questioned?

No nothing specific comes to mind -- just speaking in generalities.

I think the Houston Press is a pretty good source for local events and establishments.

What other publication does a better job of helping a person organize a nice day of eating at unknown restaurants, attending obscure festivals and finishing the night off with a "massagie" at one of Houston's many fine massage parlors?

That story about the doctor is pretty old. We had a thread about at that time.

The divorce is pending, and he left his still-wife a Mercedes 550, a Hummer, a blue Lamborghini, an Escalade, a limousine, a Maserati paid for by Dr. Brown. She has a million dollar home. Dr. Brown is still paying for the butler, three maids, two nannies, and the gardener and paying Rachel $25,000 a month for spousal support while the divorce is pending.
His medical license being revoked. His carpal tunnel clinics are still open in Houston, Phoenix, Dallas and Las Vegas.

I actually don't know if this is sarcasm. That actually sounds like a good time.
