Hello all,

I'm starting a search for private clarinet lessons for my son. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have no idea where to start.... I prefer something downtown or on the East End.

Thanks!

Check with the music schools, many teachers give private lessons.

Yeah Craigslist. I once found a college student majoring in music as a tutor. Also try the community colleges. Some offer programs for children. All offer private lessons. Community colleges will allow supervised children to take classes in most cases. I think there is an HCC campus in the east end, although I know for sure UH has continuing education for people of all ages.

Thank you! I never thought of craigslist. It seems I have lots of options and the U of H is really close to us, so maybe I will look there first.
