From the Houston Press:
Quote:
Four arrests have been made in the wake of a wild drug-related shootout that left one man dead and a Harris County Sheriff's Deputy injured, HCSO has announced.

The deputy, working undercover, was tailing an 18-wheeler carrying a large amount of marijuana Monday on Hollister near Bourgeois in the northwest part of the county when three SUVs pulled up to the truck, and occupants started shooting.

The deputy and officers with other law-enforcement agencies joined in the gunfire. The deputy, whose name has not been released, was hit in the leg and is expected to recover.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was killed.
Mexico, like the rest of Latin America, has no death penalty.

Follow Colombia's lead, there is no death penalty so execute them on the spot. No judge, no jury, only ececutioner. Violence only understands violence. There can be no mercy.

Killing by private individual is utterly stupid - killing by the state is just as stupid...To bad the America did not act properly and declare that Mexico is actually a failed state and the violence is proof of that...

Up here in Toronto..guns are rare...and most people do not need arms to feel safe..to bad such a culture exists in Texas where the gun has become part of life - You really don't need them - till perhaps now...Mexicos' institutionalized and excepted crimminality is breaching your boarders - Guns might NOW be neccesary..but what would be better would be for Washington to start insulting the hell out of the Mexican authorities for being corrupt for to long...and allowing their problem that consists of horrific bad management to leak into America - You have to call a spade a spade - as long as you treat the Mexican authorities with respect..they will continue to mis-manage their system - time to insult them...you can not pretend that they are a functioning state - they are not.

I'm a pagan unbeliever, but that quote has actually been mistranslated from the original Hebrew, in which it read "Thou shalt not murder". Meaning engage in unlawful killing. Death sentences obviously represent lawful killing. Note that Biblical law also commands the killing of all kinds of people - murderers, idolaters, adulterers, onanists, etc, so there's obviously no blanket prohibition on killing.

i am just surprised the family members of these people don't turn them in. US and TX is not taking a stand back approach for these cartel members here in the states. good to see the cartel members arrested. the US should put them in an American prison (to keep the cartel from buying their freedom) but charge Mexico for their upkeep.

the violence is not seeping into innocent people's lives (by a significant margin). i will be safe and not need a gun as will most. but sad for the police informant trying to help out his country but he was still a smuggler for the cartel. he died because of it.

btw I think TX should go the way of CA. if you have gang affiliations and you are spotted - you get arrested. i saw a truck driving around with a MS13 logo sticker. brand marketing i guess ha. what lame-os
