Anybody that lives in Bridgeland what are your thoughts of the community?

1) the growth and development (talk of grand parkway coming through and the effect on community)
2) the people and culture
3) the commute (to galleria area if applicable)

1) The grand parkway coming through will have an effect but I don't know how, it depends how the area develops at that section. As far as I've been lead to believe this is where the planned town center will be located and at present they're thinking of making this a European style shopping and dining area, (like Market St in the Woodlands)

2) I've only lived here for 9 months but in that time I've found the people a friendly and diverse bunch.

3) N/A I work in the area which is why I chose to live here, I imagine the 290 commute woould be a nightmare. The grandparkway is said to improve this and will make Bridgeland a more desirable place tgo live in the future but I really don't see how, I reckon that's just marketing BS.

Back onto the GP, the way the development is being planned, when the current village is finished, the next new development will be to the North and not to the West (towards the GP), so it've very possible that it could be 5-10 years before Bridgeland sprawls out towards the site of the GP, by that time it could be fully constructed.

Overall I love living there, we're about to start building a house and look forward to seeing how the area develops in the coming years.

Any update on the construction of the first retail village in Lakeland that was supposed to start already?
