everyone knows that Chris Paul is heading to NYC next year so the knicks can form their own big three with Paul, Carmelo and Stoudimire to compete with the big three in Miami.

for the Rockets, this deal wouldnt make any sense, unless they could get Nene at center.....we would get rid of two starters in Scola and Martin, plus the backup point guard for Pau Gasol? Gasol is not a banger..or a major scorer....he is pretty soft, and while it will give the Rockets a seven footer to play center, it will leave a major hole in the roster, especially with Chuck Hayes on his way out to Sacremento....

guess we will be counting on the rookies chandler parsons of florida and markius morris of kansas right away to contribute.

Since they signed Tyson Chandler, New York is no longer going to have the Cap room to sign Christ Paul. So if that's the leagues motivation, then they just screwed the Lakers.

Why would the rockets get rid of 40pts of offense and a PF who can rebound and play tough D for a 15pt soft giant who cant rebound if his life depended on it!!

Because they weren't going anywhere with them. It was time to make a move in a different direction.

So getting a soft PF who cant rebound or play tough D is better?

and giving up our #1 scorer for no apparent reason either....

I think the plan was to get Gasol to go along with NeNe. NeNe would be the Center and Gasol would be the Power Forward. As much as people talk about Kevin Martin scoring a lot of points he doesn't impact winning that's why sacramento got rid of him. The Rockets as constructed now are a mediocre team.

But do you really think a team who's main guys are Nene and Gasol is better than a team with Martin and Scola.

Nene is garbage. Hell i'd rather have Big Baby over him. Nene doesnt score much..defends ok..rebonds avg. Easily replaceable/interchangeable with any other center in the L.

Pffftt....wasting your breath. This trade, if it happens, won't mean anything to the Rockets. This team has zero leadership.
