You know... the shiny stuff with the little speckle bits.
I'm not going the DIY route this time.
Brand new garage. Needs to be the high quality stuff, applied by professionals.
Any recommendations?
And thoughts on what a 3 car tandem should run me?
Thanks!

I did a search and found an old thread or two.
Xpedite Coatings was the only place that seemed worth calling.

Anyone else worth a look/call?

I will be interested in your findings as well. That's the only project I haven't completed this year, epoxy my 3 1/2 car garage. I am a DIY guy but this project is one of those things that I may not have the "know how" nor the tools to do it. But after all we're engineers so we can figure it out and also rent the tools. Is all about knowledge, risk (how many tries) vs. reward (potential spend over the budget). We either pay $4/SF and have a professional do it or just do it ourselves. My only concern is that even professionals can do a poor job so we need someone reputable with the right warranty.

Now to work. After much research I decided to go with the Polyaspartic Coatings (Polyurea), either do it myself or find someone. Is different than epoxy. Do some reading/research and let me know what you think

We paid $4.50 per sq ft for Surface Systems (subcontract through GarageTek) to install a Colorflake floor in our garage nearly two years ago. They did a very professional job. Love that it is non slip, it looks brand new after two years, we've hosed it down two or three times and that's it.

Wow, that would be $2,700 for our 3 car garage. I wonder if it would be cheaper to use interlocking rubber tiles like the exotic car guys use. That could be a DYI.

Ya, I've been looking into that as well.
Not DIY though... been down that road before.
Putting down the material isn't hard but surface prep is key.

Thanks!

I've been considering something like this for my garage and looked up the BBB rating on Xpedite Coatings. Not many reviews but one complaint involved warranty issues:

Xpedite Coatings Review - COATINGS-PROTECTIVE in Houston, TX - BBB Business Review - BBB serving Greater Houston and South Texas
