For the price, Beck's Prime is so much better.
another convert for Becks.....

However, you must have hit a bad Smash Burger. The Smash fries are done in olive oil, and sprinkled with rosemary and garlic salt.

Crap, my husband lived in Texas, and as far West as California and ate at all the burger joints and nothing beats In-n'-Out Burgers!!!!

Even the Phantom Gourmet said it's the best burger in the world.

Becks is one of the worst burgers I ever had. Put some some cold, greasy, tasteless fries with that undercooked, non-seasoned over-priced burger and that makes for the most expensive one star burger in Houston. It really doesn't matter anyway, because after Bernie's you won't be able to eat anything else.

For what it is worth, I know someone who works at In-n-Out corporate and she says In-n-Out will come to Houston within two years. Not very specific, I know, but just sharing...

These In-n-Out threads are getting ridiculous,
you are going to tell me that that place is THAT good.

I can't think of one place that I love their food so much I would literally go insane if I couldn't have it.
And we are not talking about anything fancy.... they are freaking burgers.

And as bland as you can get in a burger! It is nothing special.

Dunno why nobody ever talks about their own, home-grilled burgers. You can select the meat, spices, cheese, bun.... can't beat that and it's half the price.

This. It is a good burger and the lines to get one generally reflect that. It is not materially better than other good burgers though. If we had it here, I wouldn't go out of my way to find it. I'd probably stick with Whataburger.

I did a while back... but I think it was in the San Antonio thread (I used to live there)
I told them "As much as you guys talk about In-n-Out, I hope those burgers are at least better than my homemade burgers"

The only reason they are good must be because of the toppings. From what I've heard of anyway, with things like "make sure you get it Animal Style!" What-ev.

Gimme a big thick juicy tasty burger that needs NO add-ons... or as you southern folk like to say... "fixins". That's why Smash is my favorite fast food burger. I'm sure it's a cholesterol behemoth, but dang is that a tasty slab o meat.
