Okay....I know Houston gets a bad rap about its hot summers (I love love hot summers though)....but someone please tell me how our falls...winters...and springs get overlooked?

This is my first winter back in Texas in over 20 years and folks all I have to say is ADVERTISE IT MORE!!! It is fantastic. Beautiful 70's followed by a few fallish 50's for highs...followed by more 70's!!! Know this is a non topic...but the weather here is awesome and as a lover of Chicago I can tell you that I am NOT missing winter. Happy New Year! Looking forward to the warm up!

Houston winters are great but we still can get cold and down into the 30s. I personally like it, one day in the 30s and the next in the 70s. Just some cold teasers. Spring and Fall are great will lots of days where you can open up your windows and air out your house.

Fall in late September, and all through October is really nice but then it usually gets gloomy looking outside and real rainy in Novemember through most of December. Then the Winter cold fronts begin moving through pretty much routinely and so we will have some really nice weeks in late December and January like the ones we are about to have this week.

Then it starts to get really cold. I would rather endure cold temperatures (15-25 degrees) with light/moderate Snow than cold bitter temperatures with no snow.

The lack of snow makes winter in Houston miserable to me.

Because we don't have fall, winter or spring, but I can see how this would be good to someone from Chicago. I HATE HATE the summer here.

Not a big fan of winters here. One day your in the 30s and in the same week you can be back in the 80s. I like more consistency. I wish our weather could be more like San Diego's.

I lived in Missouri 12 years before moving to South Texas (San Antonio/Houston) and have been here 4 years.

I always heard about "Winter Texans" but what really surprises me and how the media during Winter makes no mention of how perfect the weather is in Southern states.
They much rather talk about how many inches of snow and ice some people got.... but make absolutely no mention of the days in January and February when some people go to the beach.

As a matter of fact... they can keep it that way, the less people here, the better.

That's the way it is in the Midwest in Spring and Fall, including rain and freezing rain.
Then Summer is just like in Texas and Winter is just like in Canada.

I don't miss it at all.
