We are looking at relocating from El Paso. How are the school districts out there with special needs students. Do they lump all special ed kids together or do any special with Autistic students. I have heard to try to stay in the Humble school district and live in kingwood. Any other advice would be great in these terms. Also I will be working as a nurse. Will I be required to be biligual like in my current situation??? Thank you for any information.

Would you be working in the Kingwood Medical Center or the Med Center in downtown Houston?

Most schools here in Houston tend to have specific classes for Special Needs (Autistic) students through 8th grade. I believe they blend them into regular classes in 9th through 12th, if possible. Usually a special needs assistant will attend class and work with them each day. It all depends on the level of special needs required.

Thanks for the replys. I do not know yet where I will work. I wanted to make sure the houston area would be a decent place to move first and that my son's needs would be met there. Still working on all of it!
