We are looking in The Woodlands, Magnolia (close to Woodlands like Lakes of Windcrest) and possibly Benders Landing. I'm worried about the schools. I have a 9th grader and 6 th grader. I know The Woodlands is the best bet for schools. But we like Creekside and then we are put into Tomball. We love the look of Benders Landing but don't know anything about it and worried about schools. Also love what we get out in Magnolia. Just not sure about schools again. So, could I get insight on those three areas? How the Exxon jobs might effect the area and are the schools really that inferior to The Woodlands?? We want a little larger lot and our price range is up to $650. Schools are first and foremost to us but I hate to have to box myself into The Woodlands. With smaller yards, higher prices and taxes. Is it really worth it??

All schools no matter where you go are teaching to a test. I don't know what your definition of a good school is. If someone said a certain town has a good school system they will only tell you what their idea of a good school is. You really need to evaluate what you are looking for in a school.

We are relocating to the Woodlands area as well and asking the same questions. We are worried about schools too. Let me know what you find out!

If you can afford 650k for a house consider private school.
