But this development is only like 5 to 10 minutes for Downtown, Uptown and TMC. It's competing with those sectors and not as a stand alone CBD unlike The Woodlands town center or Greenspoint.

There's nothing wrong with Houston. Just check the video in the OP link. We dominate.

This Epicentre development is an "organic" extension of the Reliant/Med Center/Museum area growth and appears to be a good fit for that area. Memorial City and Town and Country areas are "organically" redeveloping as a result of the mall renovation and Memorial Hermann tower, and CityCentre. That redevelopment will continue "organically" into surrounding areas. The same is true of East End. The market dictates when and where redevelopment will occur.

Houston is too big to have just one area of development that spreads to surrounding areas. I am pleased with the redevelopment going on in older areas of Houston and can't think of a better use for Astroworld than a mixed-use development like this Epicentre. Just my $0.02.

The Galleria is a second downtown.

Westchase is the third.

Energy Corridor is the fourth.

Not necessarily in that order. Any of those individual districts could stomp most of the CBDs in this country.

Any others I left out?

Earthquest hasn't even been built yet and it may not even get built but you post a thread about another project which hasn't been built yet.

I'm not a Houstonian, but I posted it because on another site, I had seen where the development had made recent changes to the website. So I thought I'd create a thread to get more info about the development.

I know it's not in order but Downtown, TMC/Uptown, Greenway Plaza, Westchase, Greenspoint, and Energy Corridor.
