Which part of Houston? Assuming the job is in the front of the woodlands, near I45, this can be a good solution as you travel counter heavy traffic.

Traffic on 45 always sucks going both ways, but it's worse during rush hour. Your commute would be against traffic, but keep in mind that accidents and bottlenecks are common on 45N both ways.

Morning isn't bad, but it probably take about two hours during afternoon/evening rush hour.

It does not take two hours to get home and if it does then you need to move.
It really depends on where you live in Houston. Expect a 35-45 minute commute if you are in the "Heights" area. It bottle necks leaving the Woodlands and trying to get on the toll road and leaving The Woodlands. Traffic also bottlenecks at the Beltway coming home.
It isn't a terrible commute, but just be ready for a commute. The days you don't feel like all the hassle, just get on the toll road.

Only if you take the job and dont move. Or have flex hours where you can go and come from home to work before or after rush hour. I lived in Energy Corridor and played golf in the back of the Woodlands. Commute took under an hour on a weekend.
