Hi everyone,

Just heard this from the radio. Had anyone attended this event before and recommend to go for it during this weekend? Any idea what I can see or do in this festival? Thanks.

My response is probably too late, but unless you have on average $1k to spend on a piece of art, it's a waste of time.

I went last year expecting to be able to find artwork for my new house. Instead, I found out how poor I really am in comparison to a bunch of other people there, who were actually buying art.

We paid, we saw, we ate a little and we left... all in about two hours. I think I uttered, "OMG, did you see the price on that?" about 100 times.

yup.
sounds like my experience.
(except for the poor part )

They should also allow Guests of the Marriott free access to the festival instead of trying to squeeze every cent they can from people...
I know for a fact that policy has cost them $$ in the past.

The one I went to a couple of years ago was free, not sure if it was the same although looking at the link, it was in that general area around the river walk. What a waste of time, free or otherwise - I'd never pay $15 as an entry fee...it was like a big advertising festival rather than a venue for unique art. Might as well walk around Old Town Spring 10 minutes away, at least it still has a little character.
