It was very interesting to see how the areas, Zip codes, and school district residential prices performed.

Neighborhood Survey - Houston Chronicle

On a side note Spring Branch ISD had the biggest one-year positive change with 2.6% followed by HISD(1.85) and Mangnolia(1.75).....Katy ISD(0.05) didn't see any change, but what surprised me was the 2011 median price per sf. was higher in Conroe ISD ($85.24), Friendswood ISD($87.68), HISD($116.47), Magnolia ISD($91.73), Montgomery ISD($87.56) and Spring Branch ISD($154.23) than Katy ISD($80.65)

FYI; You have to get the paper copy in order to see the home price trends for local ISD, everything else can be seen in the link.

Im not suprised at all. There are more prestigous areas in Houston and Spring Branch to raise the median than there are in Katy. The Woodlands also has many estates that raise the price in Conroe ISD. Plus Katy is known for its affordable housing. Isnt that why so many people move out there?

Not a big surprise. SBISD, south side, has always been consistent, if not a top performer. North side is starting to become more consistant as well.

Sugarland also have more prestigious areas than Katy, but Ft.Bend ISD didn't fair better.

East side of Ft Bend is comparable to North side of Katy & those areas keep the overall district from going up.

Prestigious areas in Katy, Sugarland, and the Woodlands??? LOL

Ok I get Spring Branch prestige because of the memorial area but it's definitely no Tanglewood or River Oaks.

Depends on what streets in Tanglewood and what streets in River Oaks.

I've lived in Tanglewood most of my life, Memorial is more than comparable, plus you get more land and public schools if you want them. River Oaks is probably the nicest place in the city, if you get on those few streets down near the bayou.

I would always hear about tanglewood, so my wife and I decided to check out the area and oh'man I felt like I was in Westwood CA.(UCLA),very impressive. Btw; River Oaks is like Beverly Hills CA. lol

Default Montrose a little pricier than Woodland Heights

This was a little surprise to me, but I can see that the numbers fluctuate quite a bit; we'll see who's on top in the months ahead. I think now is the time people start to put their homes for sale, yes? A friend of mine put his up and it sold in two days. Let's hope that is the trend.

I think things are starting to pick up. My neighbors just sold their home last week, the house wasn't listed that long.
