I live in Katy, but had to attend a meeting in Conroe this afternoon (Saturday)

I had a "mall errand" and decided that The Woodlands mall was just as good as any.

OMG the traffic was crazy-a$$-insane. I got turned around and ended up in some "waterway" bumper to bumper mess. And even around the mall circle just bumper to bumper. They were selling parking for $15. WTH?

I get that it is 5pm on a Saturday. Yes Memorial City Mall gets traffic too. But someone please tell me there was some "big event" today that made it far worse than normal. Because if the cluster-freak I endured today was "normal" I pity anyone who has to run errands around here on a Saturday afternoon.

I think Buzz fest was today at the Mitchell pavilion. That would explain a lot of that...it is normally not that bad.

I dunno. It's a good thing I dont live out here or I would be committed of tree murder.

I just drove by the same store 3 times looking for it by address. G-D can't see it from the street it "is on" because of the trees.

12 years ago, I gave birth at The Woodlands hospital. My husband left for lunch and didn't come back for over 3+ hours. I gave him hell. He said he got lost looking for a burger and I didn't believe him.

I owe him an apology now.

I guess The Woodlands is fine for those who live there. But visitors and new comers are in for some GPS stress.

yeah, i could see your point... when we first moved out here to spring and we started to drive around to get familiar with the area, we passed up our destinations plenty of times... ex: post office, fuddruckers, and even a simple gas station.

Traffic isn't always like this. Buzzfest is today.

They could do a better job of directing the traffic early-on when there are special events. Newbies coming off of 45 onto Woodlands Pkwy think they have to turn-in towards the event immediately - - when much of the free parking is a few lights down.

The woodlands lacks the infrastructure to support large concerts like this. It's a mess every time.

Wait until the Christmas season.

Nothing beats the Galleria though.

The Woodlands Mall can be cluttered. I just always park by Barnes and Noble and The Cheesecake Factory and walk. That's the least cluttered area for me.
