Good evening everyone!

I am looking to build a home in the Summerwood area with M Street Homes. I have searched for reviews online, but have not been successful. I was impressed with their quality and up to date construction methods. Does anyone own or have experience with this builder? Word of mouth? Thanks for the help.

I'm in the process of building with them. It's been a pain, honestly. I'm struggling with their timeframes. They said initially it would be four months to complete. It's been eight weeks and they haven't even poured the foundation. They keep telling me things like "such and such will be completed by Thursday" and then nothing happens. It's really frustrating. I hope it's worth it.

Well, I hope the overall process, including the final product, is good. I really enjoyed their service and the breakdown of the construction. The open floor plans got my attention quick!

I agree about the open floor plan too! I feel it is very unique to the area. Have you signed a contract with them? Like I said, we signed 8 weeks ago. It took 3+ weeks to get an appointment with the design center (they won't start your home until your selections have been made) and then 3 more weeks to have our first meeting with the builder. At that meeting, he said it would be approximately 4 weeks until they were ready for drywall. At this rate, I doubt they will be ready for drywall by the end of the summer. What is even more frustrating is that there are four other M Street homes in the part of Summerwood my lot is located in. I know that they are all at different stages of construction, but I have been watching them from the day they cleared the lots. Not one has been delayed. Only my lot has seen delays. Both the sales rep and the construction manager have been no help. They just give me the runaround.

I see...well I hope the situation improves. I have researched and gone through their current builds to try and gain some knowledge on their processes. I plan to go in for the contract soon. The lot we are looking at still has plantation so I am not expecting anything quick. They did mention to me though the same appx. Build time of 4 months. Hopefully the end product is great! I looked at their other builds in Telfair and Kingdom Heights- they looked good. Looks like they keep their builds in good areas [Memorial is next] Regardless, best of luck! I hope everything turns out great for us both, their homes really have us excited.
