Default Artwork?

Artwork maybe? Just like those red circles in Montrose, just more, and many colors.

Gah! I love colorfully painted houses (think northeast Victorians or socal bungalows) but that polka-dot house isn't so awesome, IMO.

weird paint doesn't really bug me. Unkept property and junk lying all of the yard (including cars on blocks) would really make me become a crazy militant HOAer.

+1. As would chickens. And "grown ass men" blaring music out of their garage while throwing up 300 lbs on the bench.

I don't think I'm brave enough to pain my house that way but I don't mind to live next to one.
I think my children would think it's the coolest house in the neigborhood.

I agree. As long as the exterior is neat and clean, who cares what color(s) the house is?

Agree with all of the above.

A well kept, polka dot house next door wouldn't bother me as long as they were nice, quiet neighbors and kept the yard and house neat and clean......unless the house attracted a lot of "Looky Lou's" that increased traffic.

As we were driving out of our subdivision in Lake Highlands a few years ago, a house was being prepared for painting. Upon returning Sunday night, that once nothing special house was bubble gum pink.
We learned as part of the settlement she had to sell the house. Looking like a Barbie Dream House, it took a few years to sell. The buyer's first move was to paint it beige. Nobody got upset about the color.
