Brennan's service is second to none. It's one of the few white glove customer service restaurants left in town.

Ousie's is a good place for brunch also.

I would also add Hugo's to that list. Restaurant Las Alamedas used to be on I-10 and then moved to Cinco Ranch. I haven't been to the new location but I remember being a great restaurant and brunch place.

Also, nothing wrong with going to the grocery store the day before and getting some fresh groceries and cook for mom on Sunday morning - plenty of easy recipes online. Don't forget the champagne and orange juice for mimosas ;-)

Hugo is also a good option, cooking for mom is always the best if you are a talented cook. I enjoy eating out because we can sit, relax, sip on some wine, caipirinhas, and we don't have the pressure of having to clean up at the end.

Maybe you should ask your Mom!

I agree, most of these sound like Fathers Day locations (top two would still be Franks Chop House or Vic&Anthony for Father's Day), but back to the original point, Ousie's or Ruggles for Mothers Day Brunch/Lunch would be great. Crappittos Italian or Eddie V's for Mother's Day Dinner is really nice, but neither of these would be a place my Mom would like.

Any top 10 that doesn't list Luby's isn't a top 10. I wouldn't take my mom there on a bet, but the place is chock-a-block with families on Mother's Day.

Further, if you want to spend THAT kind of money (see your list) then go to the best Steakhouse in Houston Area (voted several times) and take her to Killen's in Pearland.

I actually went to Mother's Day last year at Tradicao (but my mom is a meat lover). They also have the freshest salad bar in the Bay Area, very very good salmon ceviche interestingly enough.

Mother's day typically entail higher prices at restaurants and at least the Brazilian Steakhouses keep their prixe fixe menu at a reasonable cost.

However this year we are getting our lunch catered by Whole Foods and making it a family reunion!
