So I love helping friends and family find new homes.
I want to get paid for.it and do it as a second job until I feel I can be a full time realtor.

Can you please explain the steps involved?

If its too much to type, I'm willing to meet for a conversation about the topic.
Ill cover the coffee, lunch
Thanks

Just google getting a Realtor licence in Texas. Once you have done that then you find a Realtor/broker to work for.

Part time is not a very good way to go however. I know when looking for a house that is one of the first questions I ask. If I am having someone earn thousands of dollars off me buying a home I want someone that is doing this full time and is really going to work to find me a home and meet me to look at a home on my terms and not around there other job.

TREC - How to Become a Real Estate Salesperson

Linked are all required steps needed by trec to become a real estate sales person and the fees associated with trec. In addition to that you need to join a real estate organization under a real estate broker, pay their fees, and pay a fee become a Realtor by joining HAR/TAR/NAR.
Pay another fee to get MLS & Supra access then you are off to your races.

Once you join HAR there are tons of classes free of charge that help you learn the industry as well as the tools that are provided. Also find yourself a good organization that will train you so you can help your clients better and quicker. It will be invaluable in your real estate career.

You will love the industry.

Thanks for the info. Seems like a lot of startup costs, but a few quick sales can easily make up for.it.

Some of the community colleges offer programs, too. I believe College of the Mainland offers a program in League City.

predatorprey gave some good advice. The real estate classes teach you to pass the test (which are pretty easy) - the broker teaches you to really do real estate. Huge difference. A new realtor comes out of classes so ignorant that it is scary.

Feel free to call me.
