Okay - I'm a native Houstonian - my son loves a great steak. He is a no muss, no fuss kind of guy. Where in the greater Houston area - anywhere from Houston to Galveston can we find a great steak that is inclusive of sides - meaning you don't have to pay $10 for a small plate of asparagus, carrots or potatoes? I don't mind adding the salad - but I hate getting a plate with just a piece of meat on it and nothing else comes with it. We've got some great restaurants out there and I'm sure I can get some great recommendations for places we haven't tried.

I'm okay with price as long as I don't have to order the meal piece mil. I want to order an entree and have it all be inclusive of veggies, etc. (with exception of the salad or appetizer). Just checked their menu -price point is right for a good steak but it is one of those where every side is separate. So I guess I want to move down a notch on the chain and get the name of a good place that doesn't serve that way.

I love Perry's but it has every item separate. So I guess what I am looking for is a great tasting steak at a restaurant that is down a level from your Perry's, Vic & Anthony's etc.

You can get some great steaks at Mexican restaurants with the usual Mexican trimmings and compared to steakhouses it can be a great bargain. Just as long as it's a reputable place.
