We used to live there before moving to Charlotte and could not stand it. It was nice at first but the people and everything drove us crazy. (We lived there 5 years) Charlotte is billions times better

Uh, okay.... *confused look* Kingwood is a suburb of Houston. Charlotte is a city all its own, and in an entirely different state.

I don't get it...seems like a rather odd post to make. "Hey, who hates this place where I used to live?"

Yeah, at least make it interesting. Give us some reasons. What did you hate about it and why is Charlotte is superior? Make it good please. I'm avoiding housework on a Sunday morning here.

I lived there 7 years. I never had a reason to hate it.

if i didnt work in katy, Id move back to kingwood tomorrow.

I'm very interested in Kingwood. Please define what is wrong with "the people and everything." Are the people mean/nosey/snooty?

I think it is like every other area of Houston - it is for some and yet it's not for everyone. The majority of people I know who live there - likeit , love it and are very content there. However, I had one co-worker who wanted to live there more than anything and once she and her family finally moved there .. for whatever reason, they were very unhappy. Not sure why - maybe her expectations were so high that the place just couldn't live up to the utopia she had built up in her mind prior to moving there.

While I only drove through Charlotte twice in my 50 years I cant give you any opinions on it. As for Kingwood the only problem I can ever see is the snooty attitude and that seems to be more so in the higher priced areas. Wealth brings snoots with noses pointed high anywhere. Im just a part timer but our place is about a half hour away from Kingwood. We drive the half hour just to park and walk the greenbelt trails. And usually eat nearby before calling it a day.

I think Kingwood is a pretty place but personally I dont like the small lots which is why I am out in the country. I dont know about the commute to down town but Kingwood has to be better then living down town.

Downtown/Midtown is a great place to live. It's really all about your likes/dislikes. Someone in those areas may say the same thing about living in the country.

I like Kingwood. My neighbors are friendly and all the greenery always puts me in a pleasant mood.
