I'm sure it's the same with Dallasites and Grambling State.

There's also a joke that Shreveport is just a far flung suburb of DFW.

LOL. I'm following many kids from Houston that go to Grambling (of course Southern) on Twitter. I've not seen many from Dallas which doesn't say there aren't any there.

Not really.

Houston has about 60,000 more. Both are over a million and below 1.1 million. Both DFW and Houston Black populations are growing very fast.

You may have not seen it but it's pretty much a fact. If Dallasites aren't at PV, they are at Grambling. Where do you think Erykah Badu went to school?

I didn't say they weren't. I just dont follow many from there. E.B. could have gone to Alabama A&M if all I care.

I only through out Badu as an example. It is common knowledge in that part of the country that many Grambling students hail from the DFW area.

I didn't know that. And Houston's folks at Southern. We have many Houston kids at our school (Houston has a nice sized Alabama A&M alumni chapter). My RA during my freshman year is from Houston, a Nigerian boy in my engineering classes is from Houston (transferred from Houston Community College) and one of my friends is from Missouri City.

When did DFW's black population pass the one million mark? This is news to me.
