Have 2 daughters 9 & 11, new to the area, would like to enroll them in some sports leagues....they like soccer, basketball, softball, tennis, golf and swimming

Does anyone know of leagues or rec centers that have activities like that?

I know I used to play basketball and take Judo classes at the rec center below located on Diana Lane across from the Freeman Memorial Library. It's right next to the baseball fields and tennis courts.

I don't know if they still hold all of these events but these people could probably point you in the right direction.

Do you live in League City? Here's the link to the League City rec programs for this summer: http://leaguecity.com/DocumentCenter/Home/View/4759

All the sports you listed have independently run organizations in the area. For example, for soccer, Space City Futbol is king in the Clear Lake area.

League City Parks and Rec (on 96 east of HWY3) does basketball winter and summer. Also, Perry YMCA (on 96 west of I45) has basketball winter, spring, summer and fall. My daughters (ages 7 and 9) have played in both. Registration for winter leagues should be coming up soon, usually they start practices early December and games go from Jan-beginning of March. Basketball at League City Parks and Rec is under TAAF so if you're team places in the end of season tournament there's a chance to go to regionals and then state. Because there are not that many girls' teams usually you bypass regionals and are elgible to go to state. If you're girls are interested in more competitive basketball, please check out spacecitygalaxy.com.
