So, if you have a Benz or Audi, you basically cannot go out shopping at the malls in Houston, right?

No, these people are a bunch of ninnies. They probably tremble in fear at the sight of a teen with baggy pants. I have a new BMW and I drive wherever the hell I want because I'm not a soft Lil coward. Now given at 2am I'm not going to 5th ward, but in broad daylight I don't care. If you feel like a victim then you need to hit the gym and sack up, I'll KO any Lil punk that looks at me sideways.

I have to agree with you. Since I've been down on these boards, I'm noticing people's definition here of bad areas is almost completely based on skin color or appearance of some kind. All malls everywhere attract a certain amount of thieves. Why? Because people are walking out of malls with bags of new and valuable crap they don't need. It's much easier for me to steal something out of your hand then have to break into your nice little home and take it. This is basically petty crime. And as long as you are aware of your surroundings, they are not going to steal from you.

You guys want to see real crime? I got on the NY subway one evening right off Wall Street. The entire car was full of blood. Everywhere. Everyone was taken out out of it waiting for the police. Apparently some homeless guy walked on the train with a knife and stabbed a guy in a business suit 45 times. While everyone watched of course. THAT is crime. Some 16 year kid with baggy pants who wants to steal the new i-phone you just bought at the mail is only going to take it if you leave it dangling between the 7 bags you are trying to carry on your way to your car and you can't even see who is around you because of all the crap you bought. That's not crime, that's called stupidity.

Gunspoint Mall in no way feels unsafe to me. It may feel unsafe for the "I see brown people crowd.". I went to the gym there for 3 years and never even kind of had a problem. It mostly Mexican families in the mall. Be careful! They may talk to you in Spanish....

That's exactly what it is. They try to sugarcoat what the really mean with terms like "thugs" or "ghetto"; when in reality it's completely obvious they're speaking about minorities.
