My family is moving to the Houston area and we know nothing about the area. We are a homeschooling family and would like to find an area that has a large amount of homeschooling support. I recognize that there is likely support across the city but I would like to know if some areas are stronger than others. I would also like to find a homeschooling co-op. I am looking to rent before committing to purchasing a home, and I would like an area that safe. I love older neighborhoods and lots of trees! My husband will be working in the Pasadena area.

My son works in the Pasadena area and we live in Pearland. I can't speak to the homeschooling co-ops, but there are certainly homeschooling families here (one lives right next door to my son). I suppose part of it would depend on if you want a secular group or a Christian group as there are not too many secular homeschooling support groups down here. Pearland has reasonably good public schools.

Here is one Baptist co-op
