The key here will be "decent". I saw one house in Copperfield Northmead, I think that will be Cyfalls. Id call that decent.

Check out har.com

search rentals up to $1100. plenty of apartments around. You could probably get into a better area of cyfair with the same budget in an apartment.

Well I don't want any bad schools, that's for sure. Where are the better schools at..in what area? A 30 minute commute would not be bad.

If schools are a big concern, most of CyFair north of 290 has recognized or exemplary schools, and the closer you are to 290 on the south, the better the schools are in general. When you get down south of 529 you get into the lower end of CyFair schools. FWIW, there are only a very few "bad" schools in CyFair. Some of the best schools in CyFair are right by Telge and 290, and further out 290. Look on the CyFair website at the attendance boudary maps for the areas you are looking at, and then you can look up the individual schools for more info on them. Look for the Recognized and Exemplary schools and maybe that can help you find some good areas.

Attendance - Maps

Directory - Campuses

Good luck!

As a general rule the master planned communities will feed the better schools. They pick the better schools as part of their location for the community decision, then as they grow the demographics of the community will typically strengthen that already stronger school feed. Copperfield, Fairfield are two in the NW quad that come to mind. For all of these check the current schools they feed as districts redraw the attendance maps as grow occurs.

You're working in a good schools for about 30 minutes all around area so that many bedrooms on that budget is tough. I've looked and a LOT are already pending but some are still up for grabs.

Look in Cypress, around FM 1960 and all up and down Champion Forest, Tomball, etc.

What age for schools are you looking for? Like I said you have some range because of the work area but just avoid zoning to Klein Forest for the high school.

Where you are you have Cypress-Fairbanks, Tomball and Klein so all good schools.
