Hello! I am a single 25 year old female moving from California to Houston for work this week. I will be working in the League City area, but am hoping to rent in the Houston area. I would like I spend up to about $1,100 for a one bedroom apartment in a safe and covenient area. Any advice on what area to focus my search would be appreciated, thank you!

Don't write off the Clear Lake area. There are a lot of fun things going on down there and life near the water is decidedly un-Houston in a really good way. The commute from Houston to League City will get old. Live down in the area and you could be at the many area bars and restaurants, or on the water while others are sitting in traffic.

Curious why you would want to live in Houston and work in League City. Unless by Houston you mean part of Clear Lake.

Most people do the opposite - live in League City/Clear Lake/Friendswood, and work in Houston. Of course some people commute in from far out to Clear Lake, but yeah that commute would get old quick.
