Adults only (no kids except for special early day weekend shows), food served to your table with a waiter system. Won't let you talk and disrupt other movie goers. They routinely throw people out for making too much noise. That is all great. Sundance incorporates some of that (although you can bring kids). No waiters but very nice bar in the lobby where you can buy alcohol, food, etc. and consume in the theater. More importantly, assigned seats. I can go online right now and reserve specific seats for any show that I want to go see. No need to line up, fight for seats, etc.

It's an 18+ movie theatre which is why it could thrive in midtown whereas traditional theatres that cater to the teen crowd won't even attempt it. Relaxed atmosphere and real entertainment prior to the movie (rather than the extended commercial or nothing that other theatres have contribute to this atmosphere). Food is ok, but I've never had a bad movie experience at the drafthouse in west oaks. I look forward to coming into town to the new drafthouse.
