The Hogg Lofts. Pretty cool building right next to Market Square.

Close to a lot of restaurants/bars, just a block away from one of the best bars in Houston - La Carafe. The Bayou Place is also close by which is where the Sundance theater is located. Also right by the bayou jogging/biking trail.

There are also some other loft close by, Rice Lofts, Franklin Lofts, Bayou Lofts.

I think Montrose would be a good fit for your needs...and you will have easy access to Buffalo Bayou park.
