As this has nothing to do with Houston, the mods should lock or atleast move this thread.

As for chick-fil-a itself, having lived in Georgia, I am well aware of it's owner's backward and reactionary ways, but I do love the chicken (albeit in small doses). As long as the business continues to behave under the laws of the nation (and not discriminate against employees), that loudmouth bible thumper can talk and donate all he wants. As polls show, the bigots are dying out and in 10 years he'll be the lunatic raging against the tide.

Step 1: Stir up some controversy.

Step 2: Convince Republicans that they are sticking it to the libs by spending money at your business.

Step 3: Profit!

Id also like to know who stirred this up again. It's not like it's a new stance for them.

"Picking on a single company..." Poor company. Aren't they picking on the entire population of gay and lesbians in this country? Do you know what some of the groups they support do to people and children? At the same time gay kids have been bullied to death at school Chick-fil-a donates $2 million to anti-gay groups and fake churches that say they "cure" children from being gay against their will.

If a company can pick on me I can pick on a company. I won't eat there and most of my friends are on with the boycott as well. That is our right and nothing about someone's free right to boycott an organization because of personal beliefs is stupid. Americans who only buy American made goods or boycott companies that off-shore manufacturing, are they stupid? boycotting companies that still test chemicals on animals are they stupid? What about boycotting companies that are unapologetic about use child slave labor overseas? Apathy is an American past time. I am glad to see young people in this country are changing that

Sorry you are so upset that there are a lot of gay supporters out there. I especially like how gays are "level headed" as long as they agree with the right wingers and "stupid" if they don't

This reminds me of the whole Ellen-JCP boycott thing. It drummed up business in the short term, but after awhile people forgot.

IMO there are bigger issues for people to worry about.

For gay and lesbian people and kids this issue (their safety, equality and civil rights) is pretty huge
