We are considering St. Thomas More and Corpus Christi. Anyone have any feedback on these schools? How prepared are the kids for the next step, Strake, St. Agnes, St. Thomas HS?

The tuition is less expensive and the location would be close to us.

Any input is appreciated. We're familiar with programs at St. Francis de Sales, St. Anne, and St. Teresa, if there is any comparisons to be made between those schools and the two we're considering.

I don't have first-hand experience, but I have heard that St. Thomas More is a great school. I have a couple friends with young children attending preschool and kindergarten there, and they are very happy with the program.

Also, my friends with children at STM are parishoners at St. Anne's. So I imagine that the program at STM is as good as St. Anne's.

I'm bumping this to see if there's anyone else out there with any insight on these two schools? My wife & I did a tour of Corpus Christi School & liked the feel of the place. Haven't seen STM yet, but I went there for a few years so I'm trying not to be biased. Most of the recent reviews on goodschools.org of Corpus Christi are very positive, with the only exception related to the general lack of technology. On the other hand the most recent reviews for STM are not encouraging.

Personally, I don't care if my kids teachers have the best equipment, I'd rather they be proficient at teaching them what they are supposed to learn.

I hope I'm not too late to provide my feedback on schools - but we love Corpus. We too looked at STM but felt CCCS was more geared toward building the character of the child as a whole. The teachers are great and it is a wonderful community - the parents are not competitive and the older kids always take care of the little ones. We have 2 kids that attend and they love their teachers and friends. Some families have transferred from other schools b/c of clicks or typical "teenage stuff" and the feedback we hear is that the student body is not about who has more or why a kid doesn't have what others have. That is what we really like. The kids are thoughtful and not about discouraging but encouraging their classmates. I agree the technology isnt as flashy as STM but I feel it is better in the dynamic of the students and teachers. Last year all graduating kids got into the school of their choice whether it was St Thomas or Strake or St Agnes…etc. I love the school and we have been so happy with our decision. Good Luck in your selection
