The only drill site in our neighborhood (cinco SW) became a well site for a water well. not an oil well like you might expect.

Bridgeland tax rates are high. We are building in Firethorne. I honestly don't have a con. Good location, building fast, convenient to shopping. We were able to afford the house we wanted in FT.

Townlake taxes are high too. But I LOVED that community. Husband and I joked when the kids were off to college and wanted to downsize we might move there.

Sounds like you are at the stage my husband and I were in back in January. In the Cypress area, Cypress Creek Lakes is more affordable so we considered it too (lower tax rate compared to Bridgeland and Townlake). It came down to Cypress Lakes and Firethorne.
