Although I'd like to see both eventually come to Houston, I think a major, walkable entertainment/casino district would have the most impact right now. It would be the biggest breakthrough in the immediate area of the central core. So my vote goes to that.
There is lots of room for a suburban theme park. Almost all the counties outside Harris are empty

If you mean the comment about Houston and Galveston, I really love Galveston and it has the charm and the beaches and much more potential to be greater. That's all.

Ok, this isnt rocket science.

Would you prefer a huge park in the burbs or a compact entertainment district in the core.

Not on the moon, not in the rockies, in the core. Anywhere else defeats the purpose.

Huge theme park or urban entertainment district. Nothing to be confused here, just pick one

Yes I know this isn't rocket science. You know what I'd prefer, just because I mentioned Galveston would be a good area as well isn't a need to get all hot and bothered.
Houston probably won't develop the core anyways because everyone prefers their subdivisions and feeder roads.

Casino. Many of the business travelers here would probably visit to a casino over a theme park. Houston has lots of adult entertainment and seedy nightlife anyway. All of those massage parlors and video stores are operating right under our very noses. At the very least we should develop it and cash in on it. There could be shows, food, etc. We have all of the resources already.

This. I would love to see some Casinos in Galveston. Easy transit to Galveston to add to that, and you have yourself an even better tourist area.

Not hot and bothered. its simple. Given the choice would you want to improve the core or create something in the burbs instead. simple question
