Gotta be careful-- certain people here will get offended on someone else's behalf, and then you get the scarlet letter.

Try to understand that there have been 3+ CFA threads closed on this forum in the past couple weeks. I honestly thought it was a troll post, because I didn't think someone would start a thread over the possible opening of a fast food restaurant that is already well represented all over the city.

Well I know sometimes if you live in an area where there isn't a lot of retail or food establishments - you are always on the prowl for info about your area and any sort of positive development that makes things more convenient. I remember -- when Silverlake was like that. They couldn't get a grocery store to come out there to save their lives -- and now -- there is so much development, it takes them the same amount of time to get to the store that is so close (as it did when they had to go 5+ miles to a store) due to the increased traffic. But the hint of any development and everyone was clamoring for info. So understand someone's interest in what may seem mundane to others.

Well you have to keep in mind also that the opening of a CFA is more of a big deal than other fast food restaurants opening. Supposedly they give away free food for a year to the first 100 guests or so.

We just heard that there is to be a new Chick Fil A at the corner of West Rd & BW 8, just north of Jersey Village. I haven't seen the signs, but they are working on the ground and there is a lot of talk between my wife's Facebook friends about it.

Great, one more place to get fried - heart clogging food for the locals.

The answer is do not eat fried food and workout. Some people like Chic-fila and eat there to support their Christian based business.

I guess you've never been to one? They have grilled chicken, chicken wraps, chicken salad sandwiches, green salads with chicken, and even good old chicken soup too for those that don't want the "nasty fried stuff". And their fresh fruit cups are a great substitute for the fries if you don't want them either.
