Ultimate Texans » Vince Young on Texans: “I would love to play at home”

Well, Houston did want him at one time. Now would be the time to get him. Losing Mario and picking him up would put the Texans where a lot of fans wanted them to be. I am not a Young fan. If a guy isn't good enough to back up Mike Vick how good is he really? Could this be a good situation for Young to come in, sit and learn? He has the skills but no leadership. We do need a 3rd stringer.

Honestly, I don't think he has the skills to be a QB in today's NFL. The game has changed since he came into the league, it's now a pure passers league. Like Tebow, I don't think he has the arm or passing vision to be a QB today. Mike Vick for instance is a QB who is athletic... while VY is an athlete that plays QB.

Sit and learn? He's been around for 6 years and has been to the pro-bowl more than Matt Schaub.

Too late for sitting and learning. At his stage in his career, teams would expect reliability and producitvity on short notice. That hasn't been VY.

It amazes me that 80% of NFL players are bankrupt within 5 years of retiring from football.
