I'm gonna be in town for the game this coming Sunday (coming in from San Antonio) and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good place to eat to take my friends to. I used to live in Conroe many years ago so I'm not too familiar with the resteraunts near the stadium. My dad and I normally eat at Babin's after the game every year, but we thought about trying something different. Anything located near the stadium, up along 610/10 and into Katy (basically on our route home).

Go Texans!!

Lots of good places in City Centre at 10 and the beltway. You may want to make a day of it and go to the Texans sports bar there. Lots of memrobelia (sp) or Taste of Texas at 10 betweengessner and beltway on southside of frwy its really good!

That's not close to reliant. She will get a DUI on her way to the game. I acutally like going to Pappasitos right there off 610 near reliant. I know it's a chain, but before the game it's a really fun time. They usually have the outdoor and indoor areas hopping.

the stadium is not far from all the "best of" restaurants that are on Westheimer in the Kirby and Montrose area. if you dont want to go an extra 2 miles stop at one of the places in Rice Village.

That's like nowhere near Reliant, right?

Ronnie

they will be going out to eat AFTER the game while on their way home....i think City Centre would be a good location. 10-15 min from stadium, and can easily jump on I-10 to head back home.

About 10 yrs ago, we used to go to the Pisa Pie for pizza and Captain Benny's for seafood. And of course Timmy Chans for some ghetto grub. Not sure if they are even there anymore.

When I drive by on 610 now, @ Kirby there's a Louisiana restaurant and a little Mexican restaurant as well as Pappadeaux/Pappasitos.

Timmy Chan's on Main has been closed a while now, but one has opened in what used to be Shoneys on 610.

there aren't any good restaurants in the Reliant area, but there are many average chains. Testmo has the right idea. Venture away from reliant a little bit for better options.
